MSSC Employer Impact Survey
MSSC-Certified Production Technician (CPT)
Purpose and Value: MSSC cordially invites all companies who employ an MSSC-Certified Production Technician (CPT) to provide an overall assessment of the performance of that worker or group of workers on critical company production and business issues. We believe that the performance metrics in this survey will help companies and educators, as well as MSSC, have a sound, consistent basis for measuring that performance.
When: Approximately three months after one or more company workers receives his or her full CPT Certification, the MSSC-Certified Assessment Center where the CPT certification testing took place will email this survey to participating companies. Using the “Survey Monkey” electronic format, replies will be automatically returned to MSSC for analysis.
Company Response: While MSSC does not require that the company document its responses to survey questions, it does require that someone in the company who works closely with the certified workers (e.g., supervisor, operations manager) complete this survey. When asked to compare CPT-certified workers against non-certified workers, we encourage the company to compare workers of equivalent years of experience on the job.
Confidentiality: MSSC will treat all survey responses as confidential and not release individual company replies. MSSC will, however, aggregate the findings from multiple surveys and publish them in its periodic “CPT Community Update.” The individual completing the form will be included in the distribution of these “Updates.” If a company would like additional company employees to receive these “Updates,” please provide names, titles and email addresses to Ryan Beal, MSSC Marketing Coordinator, at: ryan.beal@msscusa.org.
