ADult Literacy
CLC, Inc. offers adult literacy classes for participants who are interested in one of our skill training programs and do not score at the required grade level on the “Test of Adult Basic Education” also known as the TABE Test. The TABE test is administered to all of our students prior to enrolling in any of our skill training classes. The TABE tests students in reading and mathematics. If the student falls below the 8th grade level for reading and/or mathematics the student will be referred to our Adult Literacy class for remediation.
Our Adult Literacy class is taught by a certified instructor from Tarrant County College and is currently located at the Fort Worth Opportunity Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
